Human Traces wirft einen Blick auf Spuren menschlichen Lebens – ohne dabei Menschen zu zeigen. Allerhöchstens in Fragmenten und Andeutungen. Die Fotografien heben Dinge auf die Bühne, die in der Realgeschwindigkeit des Alltags meist nebensächlich erscheinen.
Erst durch genaue Betrachtung offenbaren sie ihren Humor, ihre Schönheit, ihre Melancholie. Die Weinflasche, die wie ermordet auf dem Supermarktboden liegt. Der Palmenstamm, unter dem ein braunes Abflussrohr hervorschimmert. Die Eiswaffel in der Hand einer antiken Statue...

HUMAN TRACES
The work shines the spotlight on the traces of human life. Without even showing humans – they just appear in fragments or apparently unreal. The images are giving the stage to insignificant objects that go unnoticed in the speed of everyday life.
Only through a close observation do they reveal their humor, their beauty, their melancholy. The wine bottle lying on the supermarket floor as if murdered. The trunk of a palm tree under which a brown drain pipe appears. The ice cream cone in the hand of an antique statue...
